Calandria played his first professional game for Huracán at the age of 16.[1] He was almost immediately linked with a transfer to Argentine giant River Plate for a U$S 850,000 fee.[2] However, he was finally transferred to French Olympique Marseille.
Calandria then played for a number of teams in France and Spain. He scored his first goal in the Primera División Argentina while playing for Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy in a 2-1 defeat against San Lorenzo de Almagro in the Apertura 2008 tournament. After being relegated with Gimnasia he joined recently promoted Atlético Tucumán were he scored in his debut match.[3]
In 2010, he plays for Santiago Morning in the Primera División Chilena.
Calandria played for Argentina in the U–17 and U–20 teams.[1]
